That is up to you. The content itself is excellent for my needs, before purchase I read a lot of reviews about how the equations are to small and cant be read easily. It has a concise style of presentation and the right number of exercises and examplesâ€”not too many, not too few. The title of this book is intended to be more of a challenge than a promise. Thousands of differential equations guided textbook solutions, and expert differential equations answers when you need them. The book gives a good overview of undergraduate differential equations. The content taught here is equivalent to the material presented in the junior-level course in differential equations that the author teaches at University of Colorado Denver.

I found the electronic version to be an annoying and frustrating read. I will echo some other comments that the rendering of the equations is pretty bad on my Kindle. Numerous figures, problems with solutions, and historical notes clarify the text. Also, he continuously puts the differential equations in context with the physics that they describe. The book is unusual in that the material is organized into 47 semi-independent lessonsrather than the more usual chapter-by-chapter approach. The book is divided into 24 chapters labeled Hours.

What this book does is it makes it possible to learn basic differential equations in the minimum amount of time needed. These are my go to Kindles for technical work I also have iPad and phone Kindles. The problems are pretty simple and solving them gives a measure of success that keeps you motivated. This allows reinforcement learning and verification of success. This book should stand as a shining example for why colleges definitely overcharge for text books. Downloaded a sample to my MacBook Pro with a 17 inch screen. The equations are so small in size that they are nearly impossible for my aged eyes to read.

The present book, expanded slightly and equipped with all of the solutions, covers basically the same topics that were taught in a junior-level course in differential equations that the author took at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
